Oral Health and HIV: A Systems Approach to Integrating Dental Case Management in HIV Care

The AIDS Funding Collaborative is pleased to host a new professional training, in partnership with Alisha Jimenez-Thompson, CWRU Masters of Public Health/Dental student and Intern at Nueva Luz Urban Resource Center. This training, facilitated by Dr. Lance Vernon, DMD, MPH and Ms. Jimenez-Thompson, aims to update local HIV-care professionals, such as social workers and case managers, on oral health needs specific to people living with HIV as well as protocol and best-practices related to referral and navigation of Ryan White funded dental services.  Application for social work CEU’s (2 hours) is pending.
